Judith supports Financial Advisors and Portfolio Managers and works diligently to provide exceptional service to our clients including processing client requests, resolving client inquiries, making sure key client information and documentation is up to date and onboarding new accounts.  She efficiently processes trades, interacting with our traders on behalf of our advisors and clients. Judith is adept at working with SmartStation, a digital platform offered through our clearing firm, First Clearing Corp. and Advent/Axys, a portfolio management system.

Previous Experience/Career Highlights:

Prior to joining Wellington Shields, Judith worked as a Sales Assistant at a small firm but she began her career at Melhado, Flynn & Associates, Inc. where she supported several financial advisors and at the same time earned a college degree.

  • Secretary of Committee to elect Patria Frias-Colon’s judicial campaign

Outside Activities and Affiliations:

Judith loves to travel, dance and spend time with family and friends. She is enormously proud of her children and enjoys being involved in their after-school activities. She is a regular participant in the Revlon Run/Walk for Breast Cancer research and other community activities. She greatly admires her civic-minded family members who include a family court judge, a Unified Federated Teachers Field Representative, and a NYC Police Officer. Judith is also affiliated with Latino-Americano Unidos, an organization that offers workshops and helps immigrants come together to have a place to network.

Diane Netram

Current:

Diane is a Client Services Associate, assisting a number of Portfolio Managers and Financial Advisors in the New York and Locust Valley offices and supporting their respective clients.

Previous Experience/Career Highlights:

Diane joined Wellington Shields after working at the private equity firm, Spencer Trask, where she was a Financial Assistant to the company’s Chairman. Prior to that, she was at Citigroup where she handled the branch’s retail syndicate business and was an assistant to a fixed-income broker whose client’s asset value exceeded $2 billion. Diane began her career in finance working in the Controller’s Office at Citigroup.

  • Marymount Manhattan College, BS – Business

Other Interests and/or Affiliations:

Diane has studied and is fluent in Sanskrit. She also loves singing and listening to music.

Linda Barizone

Current:

Linda enjoys being the welcoming face for both visitors and employees at Wellington Shields. She fully agrees with first-time visitor’s reaction to the dazzling view from the firm’s 44th floor reception area. Her duties include manning the switchboard and liaising with lobby security, ordering supplies, and providing support to administrative staff.

Previous Experience/Career Highlights:

Prior to joining H.G. Wellington & Co. which merged with Shields & Company in 2009 to form Wellington Shields & Co. LLC, Linda was also a Receptionist with Dominick & Dominick, James Sinclair, American Stock Transfer, Oppenheimer & Co., and Francis I DuPont.

Other Interests and/or affiliations:

Away from her desk, Linda loves to cook and try different recipes and she enjoys gardening at her Staten Island home.
