With his strong proficiency in computer financial modeling and analysis programs, he is adept at analyzing the investment research of major securities firms, and employing his own fundamental and technical analysis in order to make security recommendations and fine-tune each portfolio. Previous Experience/Career Highlights
John began his career at Alexander & Alexander Inc. where he was a marine insurance broker in the oil and gas division, brokering and negotiating reinsurance coverage and pricing for multinational oil companies. From there, he joined Sterling, Grace & Co. Inc. John assisted a team that specialized in providing financing and financial counseling to small corporations. Then, Bear Stearns with an emphasis on institutional sales of government, corporate, and mortgage-backed securities to bank and thrift accounts. John also performed analysis of bank and thrift financial statements and executed gap and transaction analysis. At Dillon, Read & Co, he initiated institutional regional dealer coverage in mortgage-backed securities. He was with Merrill Lynch’s retail broker training program, where he marketed equities, fixed income securities, and financial services to individual and small business prospects.
