The Sarasota branch office was established with Shields & Co. in 1991. Located on Florida's Gulf Coast, Sarasota is a city that offers many amenities: pristine beaches, world-class shopping, international cuisine, renowned museums and galleries. Born in 1958, Kevin Van Cleve rejoined Shields & Company in 2006 as Branch Manager of the firm’s Sarasota, FL branch office. In addition to supervising this branch he manages the Fixed Income Department for the Company. He is a registered Series 24 General Securities Principal, Series 4 Registered Option Principal, Series 14 Compliance Official and the MSRB Principal of the firm, Series 53. Prior to Shields, Mr. Van Cleve worked as Head of the Fixed Income for a large independent broker-dealer with over 800 financial representatives. He received a B.S in Economics from Rutgers University in 1981 and an MBA in Finance from the University of South Florida in 2001.
