ALEXANDER CRIPPS, CFA
Analyst

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Reed College, Portland OR.

Business Background: Mr. Cripps joined HG Wellington, a predecessor firm to WSCM, in 2005 as an analyst and portfolio manager. Mr. Cripps started his career as a sales representative in the pharmaceutical industry, and subsequently worked for several years in business development for a regional mergers& acquisitions firm. He is a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts, and the CFA Institute.




ROBERT J. CUMMINS, CFA
Analyst, Vice President

Education: Bachelor's Degree from Fordham University and MBA from Harvard University School of Business.

Business Background: Mr. Cummins has covered the consumer goods and food industry as an analyst for more than 30 years. Mr. Cummins is a member of The New York Society of Security Analysts, the CFA Institute, and the Consumer Analyst Group of New York, of which he is a past president. Mr. Cummins joined Shields and Company (the predecessor firm of Wellington Shields & Co.) in April of 2000.




LEIGH FERST
Analyst, Vice President

Education: BA, Brown University; MBA, New York University; MS, Columbia University.

Business Background: Ms. Ferst is a consumer analyst with over 20 years of experience in global investment research and strategic communications. She has a 360 degree perspective on the research process, having seen it from the buy side, sell side and inside. She started in equity research as a buy side analyst with Irving Trust and stayed on after it was acquired by Bank of New York. She was named to the Institutional Investor All Star team and recognized for equity research excellence by The Wall Street Journal while working on the sell side at SG Warburg and Prudential Securities. Her investor relations experience includes counseling Sara Lee Corporation and Unilever. A native of Atlanta, Ms Ferst was formerly president of the Consumer Analysts Group of New York.




DIMITRI KURILOFF
Director of Research

Education: Attended City College of New York.

Business Background: Mr. Kuriloff joined CMA, the predecessor firm to WSCM, an affiliate of WSC, in 1983 as a research analyst. From 1972 to 1983 Mr. Kuriloff had been President and Chief Financial Officer of a privately-held industrial corporation.




RAYMOND MOORE, CFA
Analyst, Vice President

Education: Bachelor's and Master's Degree from Pace University.

Business Background: Mr. Moore specializes in electric utilities and related energy and natural gas distribution companies. He has over 30 years experience with a number of major investment firms. Mr. Moore is a Supervisory Analyst, a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts and co-founder of the Wall Street Utility Group. Mr. Moore has served as an Analyst at Shields and Company (the predecessor firm to Wellington Shields & Co.) since 2002.




IVAN OBOLENSKY
Analyst, Vice President

Education: Yale University

Business Background: Joined Shields & Company in 1990. Previously with Jesup, Josephthal & Co., 1987 -90 as Investment Banker and as Senior Vice President Research at Sterling Grace & Co., 1982 -87. Expertise in the areas of aerospace, oil and gas, metals and minerals, publishing and high technology industries.




ALAN M. SILVERMAN, CFA, PH.D
Senior Vice President

Education: BA from Brooklyn College and a Ph.D. in Economics from Columbia University

Business Background: Dr. Silverman joined Shields & Company (now Wellington Shields) in 1993. He has held analytical and supervisory positions with various stock exchange member firms, including Shearson Hayden Stone, Delafield, Childs and Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. Dr. Silverman has specialized in consumer related industries for over 30 years. He is a member of the New York Society of Securities Analysts.
